Ask yourself: Does your investment portfolio reflect how you view your own risk tolerance, time horizon & goals?

Ask yourself: Does your investment portfolio reflect how you view your own risk tolerance, time horizon, and goals? Are you being too aggressive, too conservative, too clever, or too foolish?

Don’t wait until it’s too late (retirement age) to find out if your portfolio is doing what you want it to do. Check out the resources on GreatInvestor.org, click on the “Free Portfolio Risk Analysis” link, and take five minutes to find out if your portfolio is a fit for you.

Over my 35-year investment career, I have been amazed at how many new clients I took on who had investments that were not aligned with what they wanted to accomplish over their lifetime. It’s better to find out sooner than later, don’t you think?

After you’re done taking the risk test, take a look at the “20 Most Common Mistakes Retirees Make --- And How to Avoid Them.” This free download can save you an enormous amount of heartache down the road. This informative guide can help you save thousands of dollars over your working lifetime. Don’t retire without a sound investment strategy. Not planning for inflation (the future cost of goods and services) and dismissing the need for long-term care are just a couple of the mistakes retirees make. Visit GreatInvestor.org to find out what the rest of the mistakes are.

Another great free resource from GreatInvestor.org is “Financially Smart, Financially Strong — the Allianz Woman, Money, and Power Study.”® This research was done to help women who are going it alone — to help divorced, widowed, and single women take control of their financial future. It’s a great tool to help empower women who need objective, non-biased help, guidance, and direction. My grandmother called me a number of years ago to tell me my grandfather had just passed away. The second thing she said was, “You’ll need to come out here (Ohio) to look over our finances.” She didn’t know if she was rich or poor. She was never involved in the family finances.

Ladies, I would encourage you to include yourself in the budget and investment process. Let’s face reality — women outlive men by seven years on average. That means there is a high likelihood that at some time in the future, you’ll end up as the head of house. So, be prepared — be informed — be ready.

Proverbs 31:26-27 says:

She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.

Blessings!
